Re: Would you sell Antonio?
why would be sell our biggest attacking threat? he might be a bit unpredictable in front of goal but he is so important to the way the team play.
centre backs hate playing up against him.

southbank - have to disagree with you about Belotti. I dont think he'd cut it in the PL. Too slow and maybe past his best.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
We need to keep Antonio and sign another striker to share the duties.

They’ll be plenty of game time for both next season providing we qualify for Europe.

And Antonio is a quite the ace to have up your sleeve from the bench against tiring defences.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
selling a powerful, fast forward who in the right game (Particularly Europe) is an absolute menace who defences hate to see is not the answer, so no.

The question should be who are we buying to have back up at least and preferably a plan B!

Richarlidson if Everton go down.
That boy has a lot more to give and it would be good to have it at our place.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
We need to find the striker who is going to share starting duties with MA. I'm quite sure his performances will improve again once that happens.

At the moment, the guy is running on fumes.

Belotti. Get Belotti on a free this summer (pay the guy: he'll score goals in the Premier League) and then we at least have two hard-working strikers to pick for that one central starting point.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Nope - next question.

Good player, works his socks off and plays for the team. Knows Moyes' system and meets Moyes' rather strict requirements for what constitutes a striker these days.

He's not perfect (who is?), but why would we flog him?

they haven't replaced haller yet, but twats like you want our only remaining forward gone too

Forest aren't going to come in for him, why would they?

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
We've got a versatile player there who will be happy playing a back up role over the next couple of years if/when we bring in one or two first choice forwards.

Not sure why we'd sell.

Would you swap us Kane or Son for Antonio??

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Antonio should never have been our first choice striker but is still a good player and will be more than adequate squad backup for the front 3 positions for the next couple of years.

We would get very little dosh out of selling him - not enough to buy a decent replacement for sure - and as we need to strengthen the squad in so many areas we need to use whatever transfer budget we have sensibly.

To quote Mark Darcy ''l won't dignify that question with an answer''

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Simple answer. No. He's one of our better players, top PL goalscorer, works hard and when he's out of the side we miss him.

Eventually he might not be first choice but will be a fantastic impact sub because if his strength and power and pace.

We have many many many things that need fixing before we create another to fix by flogging Antonio. We'd never get an amount of money for him that is greater than his value to us, and that's the bottom line.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
No one is signing him now, maybe 3 years ago or so. I wouldn’t be against him going anyhow, it’s Michail Antonio not Lionel Messi, for some peculiar reason he has been built up as this irreplaceable figure.

Dr Matt 8:03 Thu Apr 28
Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Would swap him for Joelinton or Wood. As Newcastle will be aiming higher.

We need to be adding to our squad and replacing the scrubs.

Antonio is one of our better players…. No way do we or should we sell.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Depends on who we bring in in the summer. I'd be sad to see him go though.

Haz 2:13 Thu Apr 28
Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Of course not! However, I might switch him to coming in from the left wing once we buy a decent goal scorer. Even when not scoring Antonio is a beast. Just be great to get a natural goal scorer too.
